Serving The Youth Of
Tehama County
The Tehama County Police Activities League (P.A.L.) was established in 1995 to
provide educational, athletic,
and other recreational activities to the youth of
Tehama County. As a 501(c) 3 public non-profit corporation, we are governed by a
volunteer Board of Directors of 19 members. The board, made up of law
enforcement officers from various agencies and other representatives from our
community, meet on a monthly basis.
Mission Statement:
Tehama County PAL is a youth crime prevention program that includes educational,
athletic, and other recreational activities. Tehama County PAL is more
than a program. It is a philosophy of fair play and good sportsmanship, which
promotes a positive relationship among law enforcement, the community and our
youth.
Our
Vision:
Throughout Tehama County we are constantly reminded about the need for us to
invest time in the youth of our community. In every community, boys and girls
are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An
increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision.
Our youth need to know that someone cares about them. Unfortunately, Tehama
County does not have the benefit of a Boys & Girls Club or YMCA. Therefore,
Tehama County PALs vision for the future is very simple: To create a safe
environment for children and reduce juvenile crime in Tehama County by providing
our youth a way to find guidance, life perspective, and authority-figure role
models they can trust. Our objective is to offer this and more! Our programs
are designed to promote and enhance the development of our youth by instilling a
sense of competence, usefulness, and belonging.
