Captain Hosler’s law enforcement career began in 1977, and has spanned all areas; to include jail, patrol, boating, investigations, narcotics, training and administration.

In his off-duty time, Captain Hosler is the National Rescue Director for the International Hot Boat Association, traveling with his team of paramedics and rescue personnel throughout the country to sanctioned drag boat races during summer weekends.  During the winter months, he spends weekends as the Ski Patrol Director at the Mt. Shasta Ski Park.  He also drag races snowmobiles on the northwestern circuit, enjoying full sponsorship from an apparel company.

Captain Hosler and his wife, Joy, have been married since 1976. They have two adult sons and three grandchildren.

Lieutenant Donald Thomas began his law enforcement career in 1984 as a Reserve Police Officer for the City of Red Bluff, and then as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff for Tehama County prior to being hired full time in 1986.  As a Deputy Sheriff, Donald worked in the Jail Division and then as a boating safety officer and patrol deputy/field training officer. Donald promoted to Detective in 1991 where he investigated crimes against persons and also lead marijuana cultivation investigations.

Donald promoted to Sergeant in 1993 and again worked in the Jail Division prior to being assigned as a patrol supervisor.  As a Sergeant, Donald commanded the Tehama Inter-Agency Drug Enforcement (T.I.D.E.) Task Force and became a team leader for the Tehama Inter-Agency S.W.A.T. Team and also the Sheriff’s S.C.U.B.A. Dive Team.  In 2007 Donald promoted to Lieutenant to manage Coroner’s Office investigations.
